If we do not promote offering among us, we are not promoting the process of perfection. And likewise, we will have no access to the Lord’s miraculous protection and provision in the end of the age when the church is hated among all nations. We know that there will come a time when we are no longer permitted to buy and sell. Jesus said, ‘Make friends for yourselves by means of the wealth of unrighteousness, so that when it fails, they will receive you into eternal dwellings’. We make friends for ourselves in the fellowship of the peace offering. For the present time, we steward wealth in this world for the sole purpose of generating increase in the kingdom of God. In this way, the Lord brings the wealth of the nations into the body of Christ. However, we know that the economy of this world will fail. Jesus didn’t say, ‘If it fails’. He said, ‘When it fails’.
When the economy of the future seventh world kingdom fails, it will give rise to an eighth and final kingdom. No one will buy and sell in this kingdom without what the Scripture calls the ‘mark of the beast’. During this time, the church will be given the two wings of a great eagle so that she can fly into the wilderness, where she is protected and nourished by the Lord. We do not know how this will practically transpire. However, we do know that the church will be miraculously sustained within an economy of offering during this time. This economy will be completely separate from the economy of the eighth world kingdom. With this in view, we see how important it is for us to embrace an economy of offering here and now. In the days ahead, everything apart from this eternal kingdom of offering will be shaken and removed.
